Energy efficient window sales and installation services for both replacement and new construction.
Because your home’s builder-grade windows weren’t made to last, too soon you’re avoiding rooms your HVAC can’t keep up with, turning windows into walls with plantation shutters and blackout curtains you never open, dusting too often, tuning out outside noise and rattling blinds when it’s windy, and propping windows shut with dowels.
High Basin Glass is your reliable guide to a better future for your family’s home. We look at details others often skip.

Upgrade Your Home
Window & Door Replacement
The right replacement plan gives you your home back: rooms at the temperature you choose, light without sun damage, a breeze when you want one, locks and operation you trust and lower power bills month after month. With a strong warranty and an installer you can trust, those benefits stay part of your life, without worry for what’s ahead.
Regional Climate Engineering
Glass for your climate
The Mountain West has some of the most varied climates in the country: freezing winters, scorching desert summers, intense high-altitude sun, and temperature swings of 30 degrees or more in a single day. A window built for a mild climate won’t hold up here. Choosing glass matched to where you live is the difference between a home that stays comfortable and efficient and one that fights the weather every day.

Window & Door Installation FAQs for Mountain West Homeowners and Builders
Do you install windows and doors for both new construction and remodels?
Yes. We handle new construction installs for builders, general contractors, and owner-builders, and replacement installs for homeowners updating an existing home. Both are installed by our own crews across Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Do you sell the windows and doors, or just install them?
Both. We supply and install windows from manufactures such as Pella, Milgard, Anderson, AMSCO & Alside, so you get one point of contact from product selection through final install.
What’s the difference between new construction and replacement windows?
New construction windows have a nailing flange and are installed into open framing before siding and drywall go on. Replacement windows are made to fit into an existing opening, usually without removing exterior siding or interior trim. In some remodels, a full-frame install is the better choice, and we’ll tell you which one your home needs at the estimate.
Which windows work best in the Mountain West climate?
It depends on where you are. Homes in Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho benefit from low U-factor windows that hold heat through cold winters. Homes in Arizona, Nevada, and southern Utah need low solar heat gain to keep summer cooling costs down. Across the region, high UV exposure and wide temperature swings make frame material and glass coatings especially important. We match the window to your elevation and climate zone, not just your budget.
How long does installation take?
For a typical replacement project, most homes are done in 3 – 5 days. New construction timelines depend on the build schedule, and we coordinate with your GC or superintendent to install as soon as framing and house wrap are ready. Lead time on products is usually 4 – 6 weeks from order.
Do you work with builders and contractors on multiple homes?
Yes. We offer volume pricing, take-offs from plans, and scheduling that keeps pace with your build. Send us your plans and we’ll return a quote within 7 business days.
How much does window or door installation cost?
Price depends on the number of openings, product line, size, glass package, and install type. We provide free, itemized quotes so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Will new windows lower my energy bills?
In most homes, yes, especially when replacing single-pane or aging aluminum-frame windows. ENERGY STAR® rated windows reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. Savings vary by home, climate, and the windows being replaced.
